Apostle Islands Sailing

Board the Dreamcatcher for 3 days of sailing on Lake Superior. Arrive at Bayfield City Dock in the morning and set sail to begin an adventure among the islands. We will visit remote beaches, rock hunt, hike, stargaze, swim, and enjoy bonfires on the beach. Learn the unique history of the islands.

The adventure includes two night’s sleeping on board the Dreamcatcher, exploring sea caves, and learning skills. You do not need your own camp gear except for a sleeping bag. Women will have fun, be empowered, build confidence, and learn new skills. You can learn sailing skills, knots, fire building, outdoor cooking, water filtration, safety skills, and more. Daily reflection, conversation, and debriefing will help participants connect with the experience.

Namekagon National Scenic River

Hayward to Trego, WI

If you want to try river canoeing, or enjoy it and are looking for women to adventure with, then check this out! The Namekagon River flows along national forest, under railroad bridges, through wide pools, and over riffles. This section includes easy paddling, clear water, a few short rapids, wildlife, convenient camping, and fantastic forests. 

The adventure includes two nights backcountry camping along the river (pit toilets only). The trip includes 20 miles of easy river paddling south of Hayward, WI to Trego, WI. Previous experience is not required however you must be comfortable in and around water and in a canoe. You do not need your own gear unless you can bring an expedition (65 liter or larger) drybag.

Women will have fun, feel safe, be empowered, build confidence, and learn new skills. Instruction includes: paddle skills, natural history & interpretation, camp site set-up, gear packing, fire building, outdoor cooking, water filtration, safety skills, and more. Daily reflection, conversation, and debriefing will help participants transfer skills learned, and experiences gained, to their daily life.
